JUST DON'T CALL HIM THE JAPANESE WALT DISNEY

Photobucket

About him:

"Sporting a mop of silver hair, neat beard and wide, black-rimmed glasses, smokes two cigarettes an hour, and mysteriously wears an apron that seems to suggest that animation is something he cooks up in the kitchen, rather than at the draughtsman's table."

About his films:

"They're enchanting, but not fanciful; wistful but not maudlin; childlike without ever mollycoddling the audience."

From Dazed & Confused's "Emperor of Anime" article.

"Spirited Away" ("El Viaje de Chihiro" en castellano), is my favorite film in the world, followed by "Howl's Moving Castle"("El Castillo Ambulante"), so this man above means a lot to me since his work is always a great source os inspiration. Not many people have watched his films, and I think that's a crime! So if you haven't, you really should. You'll be amazed, I promise. :)
